The Comcast broadband install went pretty well. Despite having previous Comcast cable service they installed a new drop. They ran the drop into my home office and worked with their tech support to turn up the cable modem. I purchased a Motorola Surfboard SB5101 rather than lease the hardware from Co...

All, Comcast now has Broadband available in Cedar Ridge. Only 2 options are available online, but more are available by calling 1-800-Comcast. I signed up for Blast package that advertises download speed up to 20Mbps with monthly download cap of 250 Gig. I am happy with my current Sonnet wireless (p...

I have run the speedtest and I am getting 2.98Mps download and .95Mps upload. I tested VPN and it works great. I am totally thrilled. Thanks for the ref...

I have had 2 site surveys on my Broken Pine address and been told they could not provide the service. BTW, ATT says that 3G service is coming to the area and equipment is currently being installed....

Rob, Satellite internet is fundamentally not compatible with VPN. My employer provided me with an SSL VPN application that was compatible with satellite but the transmission speed is determined by your upload speed. I purchased Wild Blue's top package which advertised 1.5 M download and 256K upload....

 Jay, I just installed Wild Blue satellite at my home in Cedar Ridge. I opted for the premier package that advertised 1.5Mbps download and 256 Kbps upload speed. I was intending on replacing my expensive ISDN service. Although WB doesn't support VPN, my company IT had a SSL version of VPN desig...
