Cellular Network Reception in Cedar Ridge
sonnet service and cell
My sonnet that has been installed is stellar , i have good signal quality from Elizabeth peak ... also another really good note , is that I have noticed that my ATT cell service is now 3 G instead of edge , this is yet another improvement bringing us cedar ridgians closer to the 21st century , hooray .. sq
Sonnet
I have installed Sonnet at my house as well. If you have line of sight to Mt Elizabeth, you are in business. I find the service a bit slow and you have a cap on usage. I ran over the first month and did not really use it excessively. I was warned by other Sonnet user about this problem. However, I will adjust. I am just waiting until Comcast get here. Hopefully it will be unlimited and fast. We can only hope. Any further updates on that front?

Re: Cellular Network Reception in Cedar Ridge
Can anyone give me an update on cellular service availability on Cedar Ridge? I've browsed the board and it looks like there were references to AT&T from several years ago. I'm not looking for internet service - it looks like Comcast will take care of that.
My wife Nan and I currently use Sprint in San Diego, but every time we're up in the Sonora, to describe their reception as spotty is being generous. Who would you recommend?
Thanks,
Jake Edmondson

Re: Cellular Network Reception in Cedar Ridge
Currently the best coverage on the Ridge is AT&T. While I don't know the current status, AT&T hasn't worked at Dodge Ridge (Our Ski Resort). Golden State cellular is our local Verizon provider, so you are basically a Verizon customer. Golden State as good coverage in the county. It has been a little spotty on the Ridge.
My son has Sprint and there is no coverage on the Ridge.
For Tuolumne County, I would suggest staying with either Golden State (Verizon) or AT&T. I have an iPhone on AT%T.

one last thought , the service went to 3G a little while ago , its no longer "edge" reception
